In this course you will learn the knowledge and skills neccessary to work as a first responder in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize consequences of injury or sudden illness until more advanced medical help can arrive. You will learn skills such as how to perform emergency moves, how to asses an ill or injured victim, how to give rescue breathing and CPR, how to control bleeding, how to splint an injured body part and how to immobilize a victim.

This certification is thru The National Safety Council, and required by most Ocean Rescue agencies in the State of Florida as a minimum standard for employment as an Ocean Lifeguard.
